BIM is pleased to announce its new Live Scan sales and Background
Checks services divisions. The new divisions comprise Biometric
Identification Solutions and allow us to provide a full range of
solutions for our customers. By providing fingerprint collection
services for background checks (in Ohio only, for now) we can offer
an affordable solution for many agencies that are require by law to
conduct a criminal history check on prospective employees.
We also are exclusive dealers
for the i3* live scan systems. This very affordable, easy to use and
lightweight system is ideally suited for small to medium sized law
enforcement agencies as well as for Ohio courts for reporting court
dispositions. By ensuring the identity of convicted individuals and
supplying the state criminal history repository with fingerprints,
the state’s data base will be more accurate and reliable. This is
very important not only for the criminal justice community, but also
for the thousands of agencies using this information to determine
suitability for critical jobs in the state.

Background
Check Service
Biometric Identification Solutions is now a WebCheck® service provider for
agencies in Ohio needing to run criminal history checks of
applicants. We provide this service by coming to your site and
collecting fingerprints to submit electronically to Ohio BCI&I.
For a small fee, we will submit
the information to the State of Ohio and the results will be
returned to your agency. By using the latest technology, the results
normally are available within two business days. This is a safe and
effective way for agency or organization to comply with the law and
to protect itself by preventing felons and others who are not
eligible for hiring, to be eliminated from employment consideration.

Live Scan Fingerprint Systems
Biometric Identification Solutions is proud to announce that our company
is now the exclusive dealer for the i3 live scan Systems in Ohio,
Western Pennsylvania, Lower Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky and West
Virginia.
Law Enforcement Application: The i3 live scan offers
easy to use digital imaging technology. The
device captures fingerprints and creates an arrest record that meets
FBI and State of Ohio criminal arrest record requirements. This
information can then be submitted to the State of Ohio and the FBI
electronically. The small footprint, ease of use and very affordable
cost of the i3 live scan makes it ideally suited for the small and
medium size law enforcement agencies that historically haven’t been
able to afford live scan technology.
Background Check Application: When equipped with the i3
inVize®ID software, the system is capable of collecting demographic
data and fingerprints for submission to the appropriate background
check authority. This data may be submitted to the state, the FBI or
a channeling agency such as the American Banker’s Association. This
function and the i3 scanner have been approved by the FBI.
The inVise®ID provides instant
feedback to ensure image quality of the fingerprint images. This
helps to reduce or eliminate rejected record check requests that are
time-consuming and very frustrating.
Lightweight and Small Footprint: Because it draws its
power from an attached laptop or desktop PC (through a USB
connection), the unit weighs less than five pounds. The dimensions
are 7.8” L x 6.5” T x 5.5” W.
